Policies, Payments, Deliveries & Pick Ups

Policies

Your order is considered confirmed when your deposit payment of 75% is received. The deposit is paid to reserve your date and is nonrefundable in the event of a cancellation within 14 days of the event date. Dates are by availability and we only do a limited number of cakes per week. However, if you need to change dates or move your event, please call and if availbility allows we’d be happy to make accommodating arrangements at no charge. Communication is key about any issues regarding your confirmed date and we will do our best to accommodate you. We understand things can come up that are out of your control. A detailed  order summery and invoice will be sent for confirmation of order and payment options.

Payments

Payments can be made by Cash, Venmo, Zelle or Stripe. Order Confirmation Invoices will have all payment options available. Cash in person only, please do not mail cash. The final balance is due on the day of the event, before or during delivery. If you are going to be busy on the day of the event, please ensure payment before pickup or delivery.

Deliveries & Pick Ups

Delivery cost is included in your initial order quote and is available for most areas of Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties. Deliveries farther outside these areas will require addtional delivery costs.

 

If you would like to pick up your order, please make arrangements beforehand. Pick up is primarily in Aptos but can be scheduled for Campbell as well.

Cake/Order handling during pickup

  • Cake/order should be placed on a flat surface, front floorboard on the passenger side is typically safest. Do not place anything on the seat above the order.

  • Cake/order should stay in at least room temperature if not a cooled vehicle during transportation.

  • Please give yourself extra driving time to avoid unnecessary sharp turns while driving with the cake/order.

Please know that Sweetie Cakes will not be held responsible for any damage to a cake/order during transportation after the cake/order is picked up.
